A Southern Four Square
This modern family wanted an open concept that felt timeless. The wedge shaped lot beckoned the home to have a grand presence on the street while the interior rooms were distributed in a traditional four square pattern where the entry hall, living room, kitchen, and dining room create the four quadrants of traditional living. Large openings between the quadrants encouraged entertaining and distributed the family into comfortable corners of the home. Symmetry drove the layout of the home, except for the kitchen windows that broke tradition and provide the second wave of energy when one returns home after a long day at work.
